We drove 30 miles from home to try out Babai Bandi. The outdoor sitting and the experience of eating out on open benches with lights were fantastic. It's self-service. You place the order from the menu for all items near the counter (basically a table with menu items and a student standing behind it) once, and they give you a buzzer. Whenever your item is ready, you get a buzz, and you need to go pick it up. All items don't come at the same time, so depending on how many you ordered, you need to go multiple times to the truck to pick them up. Regarding food, the flavors were good, but even mild was super spicy. If you love spicy food, this is a must-try. Overall, it was a fun experience on a lovely evening!

Finally an actual good Indian food spot in Denton!! Got the ghee karam idli and dahi puri. Took about 20 min to get the order and they were delicious. The ghee karam idli tasted exactly like the ones my mom made as a kid. The portion size is incredible for the price as well. Can't wait to go back on a nicer day!! The workers were very nice and the set up around the truck was cute. Went on a cold, windy, and rainy Texas day but the fire pits and table under picnic lights would be great to sit at with friends/family on any other night!!

great option for South Indian street breakfast in Denton I've heard about this South Indian breakfast food truck a lot, so it's been on my list for a while now. We were invited to try the food on the owner in exchange for an honest food review. It's open until pretty late, so we headed there at 9. There's parking on the streets and in the lots, but it does fill up fast. There's also a couple of benches behind the truck with nice lighting and a fire. We were given ghee karam idly, paneer dosa, bezawada punugulu, chicken pakodi, chicken fried rice, and chai. The stars of the show were easily bezawada punugulu and chicken pakodi. Punugulu was perfectly crispy and went really nice with the peanut chutney. Chicken pakodi was the best I've had in a long time. It's salted well and has cashews mixed in as well. Ghee karam idly was also super soft and delicious, but I felt like it could have a little less spice. Paneer dosa was very filling and a great balance between crispy and a soft center. The dosa could use a little less ghee though. Chai was also a hit, with a hint of ginger. Chicken fried rice was good too, but it had a little too much green chili sauce for me.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Babai Band, and I must say, it's truly the best place I've ever been to! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food? Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend trying their punugulu; they are simply irresistible! But don't stop there; indulge in their ghee karam idli, poori, and chai for a complete gastronomic experience. Beyond the delectable cuisine, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and ensured that every need was met promptly. As for the ambiance, while it may seem simple with benches and a fire pit, it adds to the charm of the place, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a food enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Babai Band is a must-visit destination. Trust me; you won't be disappointed!

I recently visited the famous mouth talk place, babai Bandi, on Saturday at midnight. Yes, what you are reading is accurate. This place is open from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on weekends and 7 p.m. - 2 a.m. on weekdays. The location is 1028 S Welch Street, Denton, TX This place serves you Indian tiffins, snacks, and Indo-Chinese dishes. I can say that the food was a pleasant surprise. I have tried their ghee karam idli and bezawada punugulu. Idli was hot and fresh. The Bezawada Punugulu has a lot of oil observed. I would not recommend it. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and eager to provide the recommended ambiance with warm lighting and an open, comfortable atmosphere. The price is reasonable considering the quality of the food and service.
